Love Scenes – Examples in Literature and the Media

In this years´s CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) project the subjects Communication and Presentation, German and English were combined. The students of the 3rd year approached various questions of how love as one of the most widely found themes in any kind of literature and the media, is presented and worked on. A special focus was laid on William Shakespeare´s original text of Romeo and Juliet and its contemporary film version by Baz Luhrmann of 1996. Besides these, the students put down their own thoughts and creative ideas on love as they had been inspired by a visit of Verona on an excursion to Italy taking place in spring this school year.
Naturally, English was used as the working language in discussions and presentations. Finally digital and technical skills were put to the test when the 3rd year compiled a project CD on the topic.
